Westside High School in Houston’s Energy Corridor won in a competition to design a website for NASA and Microsoft’s competition. Mission One was to design a Web site for NASA. This included introductory Web pages for the Student International Space Station Mission Control Training program to inspire other students to become certified flight controllers. Westside teams took the top three awards, with Doris Reese and Karla Fortin in first, Skai Woods and Andrea Lopez in second, and Zulima Bordabehere and Kristin Becker in third. Mission Two was to communicate how the International Space Station benefits all people. Students selected one of three topics to research and create a Web site.
