Is Wellington weather really as bad as they say?
From any stats that i’ve seen it has the worst weather of all the main centres in NZ (Auckland, Hamilton, and Christchurch) its average summer temperature barely scraps 20 degrees at 20.3 degrees and its definetly cooler than Auckland in winter too (North adn south magazine published a great article about every city in NZ February 2008 edition. Just goes to show people cannot stereotype the north island as being warmer than the south island cause Christchurch kicks Wellingtons butt int the warmness stakes over summer, not to mention less rainfall.
