I would think that fake nails do invalidate the wudu because it is covering the actual nail; this could make the water difficult to reach your real nails. Also, the glue that is applied to the nail before applying prevents the water from reaching your real nails.

Wudu:Purity or state a muslim is in after washing his/her external parts before prayer No ive never heard that fake nails apply, I do know that nail polish, tatoos or anything that prevents water from touching your skin is looked down upon since the point of being clean is washing those exterior parts.
