Is Waverly Hills Haunted? Share Your Story Wednesday August 13, 2008 When I was a teenager, we used to drive up the road that leads to Waverly Hills as far as we could go before we had to get out of the car and walk the rest of the way. This was back before its current owners bought it, so it was known primarily for being a place where a lot of people died of a horrible disease and less as a scary haunted house, hotel, or tourist attraction. Waverly Hills, in my opinion, is a terrifying place regardless of whether it’s haunted or not. We generally walked for a few feet before getting spooked and running terrified back to the car and driving like maniacs until we were far, far away from the towering, dark, quiet building. Most people over the age of 20 that lived as a teenager in Valley Station or Fairdale have a story of a trip to Waverly Hills, even my mom. Some say that Waverly Hills is haunted without a doubt, and some say that they never saw anything out of the ordinary there. Do y
