Is Waterwatch Melbourne a program run by Melbourne Water?
A. Waterwatch Melbourne is an independent body that is sponsored by Melbourne Water, the Department of Sustainability and Environment, the Federal Governments ‘Caring for Country’ initiative and local governments in the Port Phillip and Westernport catchment area. Waterwatch Melbourne is made up of five regional programs, with three of these programs hosted by Melbourne Water, while the Merri and Moonee Ponds Waterwatch is hosted by the Merri Creek Management Committee and the North East Melbourne Waterwatch is hosted by Banyule City Council.
