Walking is a good exercise. Any exercise guru will tell you that walking burns calories, stimulates blood circulation and helps lower cholesterol levels, among other benefits. Yes of course, walking is a great exercise. In one day, you should be walking at least 10,000 steps, which is about 5 miles, to be considered “active”. Try getting a simple pedometer to clip on to see how many steps you take a day, usually people burn more calories than they think just by walking around. You can also play other sports to keep fit, although the best way to burn calories is by running, or fast walking. Keep up the exercise!
