Is VW Beetle GLX a good used car?
Anyone with any experience with this car know if this is a good buy. I’m considering 1999 – 2002 model year GLX turbo. I’ve read mixed reiviews for this car. I’ve researched several other cars for a few months and this one heads the list so far. I definately want a small 2 door coupe that’s reasonably fast (thus the GLX), that is not a major insurance policy liability, that has very distinctive styling, that gets good gas mileage, and is priced right. Already own a SUV and family sedan. This would be transportation to and from work and maybe a little weekend fun here and there. Does this vehicle fit the bill? A: I have a used GLS Beetle and I have to say it’s not worth getting. For the first year I have had trouble with it couple of times so I had to get it to the mechanic to get it fixed. Now it’s running fine but for how long I don’t know, I haven’t had it for more than two years.
