It is entirely suitable. It will allow us to publicise our work to a very wide audience, and particularly to a young audience, with no distribution costs. Employing modern technology will enhance Barnardo’s image as a modern charity – most of our donors are older and it is vital that we attract younger supporters. E-marketing now an essential part of any marketing mix. In summary, e-baby is a fun desktop companion designed to present Barnardo’s as a modern charity, using the latest technology to generate additional income by recruiting younger donors. To take e-baby too seriously would be to misunderstand its aim which is to deliver a message about our work in an entertaining and engaging way.
