Is video playback affected by enabling / disabling screens and changing primary?

Some DVD players and movie players do not respond well when a monitor is enabled or disabled in the Windows Display Properties dialog box or when a non-primary monitor is made the primary monitor. Problems include the following: • WinDVD and VLC behave unpredictably when screens are enabled or disabled. • RealPlayer resets back to the beginning of a DVD when a second or third screen is enabled or disabled. • Windows Media Player appears to be unaffected when screens are enabled or disabled, though there is a little flicker.
