Is video calling free? Or am I charged via telephone bill?
Depends on what system you use. Computer to computer is free (eg Skype to Skype). The moment one party or the other uses a phone number to complete the call, there will be some kind of charge. Edit: there are lots of different video phone applications available for computers. People use Skype because it is popular and means you can talk to more people. All are free. For Skype to Skype calling you need only two things: 1 A webcam. If you don’t have one, the Logitech is good 2. A Skype application running on your computer. This is a free download but if you are setting it up for the first time and do not have a camera installed yet, follow the camera’s instructions carefully, don’t set up Skype first. This will save you huge amounts of head banging.
