Is Veterans Affairs Canada involved in the 65th anniversary of Ortona?

0

EF has a strong relationship with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), having worked closely with them to ensure the success of EF’s Remembering Vimy Ridge tour in 2007. We’ve spoken at length with VAC and they assure us that they are not organizing or involved in any event commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Ortona in Italy in 2008. They are, however, considering organizing an official commemoration event for November 2009 and have invited EF Educational Tours to be part of that event. We will continue to be in close contact with VAC and will communicate more details of the 2009 event once they are released.
