Is Verizon FiOS really any better than cable?

Well, I’ve had both (and currently have FiOS). Overall, FiOS has been more reliable, and its download speed is better… At best, I get around 15Mbps on FiOS vs. about 5Mbps on cable. However, many download sites are slower, so you will not always get these speeds. The price for the two services are comparable, so with the reliability and speed, I’d say FiOS is a better deal. However there are other considerations too, for example where you get your TV service, phone service, etc. If you get all of your services from one provider (cable or fios) you will generally pay a little less than having to pay for separate services.
