Is Vaastu Shastra related to Philosophy?
Vaastu Shastra is an integral part of Vedic culture and philosophy. One should consider Swami Vivekananda’s word when he talks about the five elements of nature: earth, reflects God’s all-supporting nature, which means stability; water reflects sanctity and purity which means peace; fire indicates a self-luminous nature which means energy and power; air signifies the Almighty’s omnipotent which means reaching out in all directions; space denotes God’s realm of wonder where creation is abundant, which means creativity and dynamism. In this way, the five elements of nature are co-related with everything that goes on in this Universe. This view was also endorsed by Shri Aurobindo, who said that matter will reveal the face or the spirit. The practical application of the five elements of the nature is part of any philosophy.
