Actually if used correctly and gently there is no problem with wooden tooth picks. You can buy them in many drug stores (especially CVS and Walgreens) or super markets. They work just as well as floss to clean between your teeth. (They can be hard to find, but you can call Johnson & Johnson at 800-526-3967. Wait until the automatic answering system gives you a choice to go to the oral health section. Once there you can speak to a representative who can tell you all the stores in your area where they are sold.)
