Yes, it would be a very good thing, and a necessary thing. We are the only country that seems not to think we should provide health care for its people. Quite honestly, I just don’t understand this mentality. If we don’t have our health, we have nothing. We have the money now to provide quality health care for all. We do not have to find additional money. The money is that which is going to the fat cats in the private health insurance industry. If ever there was an industry whose time has truly come and gone, this is it. The problem is that Congress won’t get rid of them because they exert far more influence than the average citizen. They need to hear from every citizen, not just a few loudmouths. So many people claim they don’t want government running their health care. Well, the private insurers run it now, and they don’t have your best interests at heart, only their pocketbooks. We don’t have choice of doctors or much of anything else.
