Is UCLA better than Cal Poly?
Well, UCLA has more prestige, but you can certainly get a very good education at either place (and you can also get a pretty mediocre education at either place). I would actually guess that the average Cal Poly grad has an easier time getting a job than the average UCLA grad. My experience is that Cal Poly students are harder working, and take a more practical view of their careers (i.e. making sure to secure internships) than UCLA students.
