Geneologists say RPattz, 24, is related to Vlad the Impaler, the 15th-century Translyvanian leader (real name Vlad 3 Dracula), who served as the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” reported The Hollywood Reporter. According to researchers, Pattinson’s relation to Dracula comes from his distant ties to the British royal family. The actor is also a distant cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry, who are said to be distant nephews of Vlad. “Tracing Pattinson’s family back to Vlad was difficult research, but the pieces that unraveled created the perfect accompaniment to the ‘Twilight Saga,’ ” said geneologist Anastasia Tyler. “Without any myth or magic, we find royalty and vampires lurking in Pattinson’s life — making his story just as supernatural as the one he’s playing onscreen.” Su
