Is turkey a muslim country
No, she will not. It’s a secular republic with a Muslim past, and you rarely see people dressed in burkas or anything like that. Otherwise, do respect local customs when it comes to dress. Turkish men and women dress modestly, covering shoulders (and often upper arm), chest area, waist, and upper legs. If you are going into mosques, you will be told to remove your shoes and given covers to wrap around your waist to cover your legs, and you will have to cover your arms and shoulders also. In rural mosques women will need to cover their heads also. This is also done in Italy, in many Christian churches and cathedrals, incidentally. Something to do with respecting the sanctity of the place of worship.
