Is TSC Pre-adjudicating I-485s?
Today I called TSC using POJ. I provided my receipt number and asked about status of my pending I-485. The lady checked the status in her system and told me that it is under pre-adjudication. I asked her whether it is assigned to an IO or not. She said it is not assigned to any IO yet. Also, she couldn’t tell me whether the case is already pre-adjudicated or waiting to be pre-adjudicated. I asked her what the priority date is on my I-485. But she couldn’t find the priority date in her system. But she could find the priority date when I provided my I-140 receipt number to her. How does USCIS pick pending i-485 which are eligible for adjudication when the I-485 file on their system doesn’t have priority date? Does anyone know how this works?
