aveConnect 2.5 is a Type 4 Driver. It uses the native protocol (TDS) to communicate with the SQL Server. NT authentication requires that specific Windows API be called which is not possible by any Type 4 Driver. Hence NT authentication cannot be supported. aveConnect1.1(for MS-SQL),aveConnect2.5 and aveConnect3.0 are Type 4 Drivers. These drivers use the native protocol (TDS) to communicate with the SQL Server. NT authentication requires the specific Windows API to be called, which is not possible by any Type 4 Driver (as Type 4 drivers are implemented in a platform independent way). Hence NT authentication cannot be supported.
