Is Troutman Sanders involved in pro bono activities?
The firm actively encourages and facilitates a wide variety of pro bono activities including support or philanthropic organizations, community service projects, Atlanta Lawyers for the Arts, Saturday Volunteer Lawyers and Bar sponsored activities. Troutman Sanders expects each lawyer to meet his or her professional responsibility, as set forth in Rule 6.1 of the Georgia, New York, Virginia, and D.C. Rules of Professional Responsibility, to provide 50 hours per year of pro bono services. To encourage this, the firm provides a credit of up to 50 pro bono hours a year against attorney minimum billable hour expectations.
