Is training required to develop an online course?
All developers are required to attend a series of face-to-face and online training sessions. The required components are covered in seven modules consisting of three online and four face-to-face modules. The training materials are offered through our Course Management System, Desire2Learn. This training is completed prior to the development of any course materials. The following workshops are offered by the RODP training team comprised of the central staff and RODP mentors. This training covers the requisite, fundamental concepts that must be addressed by those wanting to develop courses. Further training and support is also available at the local campus level.
