I have long held the opinion: corporations (regardless of industry type) are forms of legalized totalitarianism backed by various government militaries; each corporation seeks to increase revenue exponentially (by whatever means necessary) in the effort to become global conglomerates which dominate multiple industries. However, my opinion has also reflected a certain deep-seated knowledge that people are people and even CEOs have a job to do. As such, I found myself wondering whether or not militaries (like the U.S.) go into unstable regions–in the name of democracy–in order to pave the way for the corporate (capitalist) machine. Throughout the course of my research I found little information directly related to the military-corporate connection regarding regional stabilization.
