Is TOIL recorded on PROMIS?
It shouldn’t be. Overtime is money so it should be recorded on the finance system whether you take it as payment or TOIL. Where administration clerks put overtime that you have elected to take as TOIL into Promis, it becomes confused with any unreallocated rest days. If you then book time off, there is no way of knowing if you are booking a reallocated rest day, or taking TOIL. If a reallocated rest day is cancelled, you get compensation at premium overtime rates. If you have TOIL cancelled, you just get the TOIL back.
