Organisations will be encouraged to use the NLMS for delivering local elearning content where this exists but it is not mandatory. For some national course content (produced by NHS Connecting for Health, e-Learning for Healthcare etc) the NLMS will become the only mechanism for employees with a staff record on ESR to access the content.
