No, Anna tackles issues, not persons or political parties. If he is seen to be tackling a particular person or political party head on, it is on account of the issue at stake (e.g corruption). Anna does not intend this. Anna is avowedly apolitical. Yet, the possibility of political parties taking advantage of his action cannot be ruled out. He is aware of this and is unobliging to political elements drawing indirect benefit. In the present case, the opposition saffron alliance in Maharashtra that was greatly enjoying Annas confrontation with the state government received a rude shock when Anna passed the blame for the absence of a Right to Information law in Maharashtra to the Central Government led by BJP. (Anna has earlier agitated for removal of ministers which belonged to BJP, Shivsena and Congress.
