Is this resolution acceptable for inclusion with the Local Government Waste Tire Public Education and Amnesty Day Grant?
A. No. The grant application requires a resolution specific to the grant. Q. Can projects be developed to provide education to businesses (i.e., small trucking firms, mom and pop repair shops, etc.) or is it limited to projects aimed at the residential community? A. The jurisdiction decides what public education and awareness efforts best address the identified need. However, the Amnesty Day events specifically exclude tire businesses and drop-off of more than four (4) waste tires at any one time by a private citizen. Q. Can we apply electronically for the Public Education and Amnesty Grants? A. Not at this time. Original signatures are required; therefore, hard copies of the applications must be mailed or hand-delivered to the CIWMB’s Sacramento office.
