Hang on to it for a while. There will be a model number on a little plate on the back or bottom of the machine. Do an internet search for “Sears Sewing Machine Model #xxxxxxxxx” Replace the x’s with actual model number. You probably will get several links and might get lucky enough to find instructions on how to thread it and use it. I have found that the older sewing machines were built a lot sturdier/better and last much longer than newer models. I have a newer one but like to use my old one because it’s problem free. If you need a sewing machine, use it! If not, you could pass it on to somebody that needs one. Good luck!
