Is this a good end-of housing contract request?
To: VP of Student Life I am writing to you to ask permission to cancel my housing contract for the remainder of the Spring 2008 semester so that I may commute from Easton, PA. The reason for my request is financial. I would have made this request much earlier, but I had to work out transferring with my work. Now that I have transferred and been promoted, the arrangement I am requesting will be most beneficial towards me and my family. Because of some problems my family has faced I was not able to receive financial aid. I have to contribute to school’s payments, but because I live on campus I have had difficulty finding work in my industry (transfer work) except for only a few hours on the weekend. I have tried to make this work, but my efforts have been unsuccessful. If I commute from home, I will be able to work more hours. I will also be able to save money without the cost of room and board. I have tried to make all of this work but it has been burdensome and I am very unhappy here l
