Is this a certification program? Does CA program staff provide guidelines or examples for press releases or public statements?
The IPAWS CA program staff produces properly worded test reports that take great care not to “approve” or “certify” vendor products to the IPAWS profile. It is important to note that the test results and use of trade names in the report do not constitute a DHS or FEMA certification or endorsement of the use of such commercial hardware or software. Vendors will receive a final copy of the test report after the IPAWS CA process is complete. At that point, the document will not have any restrictions on further distribution by the vendor. Vendors may also generate a press release or other communication about their participation in the program at their discretion. The IPAWS CA program staff does not review or approve press releases. However, the following guidelines provide examples of statements that may assist you in the creation of press releases.
