This would depend on the depth of your depression, if you are becoming sucidal, probably not, but exercise will help, just walking for a half hour a day or so, keeping a regualr routine, getting enough sleep, and making sure you get up in the morning, even if you don’t feel like it, make yourself, interact with the world, sometimes distracting yourself with other people can be helpful. Learn relaxation or meditation, and a good friend or councellor you can talk to and rely on to be there when you need then, day or night, because anyone with depression will tell you the wee hours of the night are the worst.
