Is there the ability to map a username from twitter/facebook/etc. to a drupal username, and if its already taken suggest alternatives?
We’ve thought about that, but ultimately decided to let uses create their own usernames. It wouldn’t be too difficult to pre-populate usernames for socialnetworks that provide this information, the trick would be doing a check before populating the field to see if the user already exists. It’d be added to the future roadmap.
