Is there sufficient coordination between the Borough Council, the Sailing Academy and LOCOG/ISAF in relation to the events at the Sailing Academy itself?

There is continued liaison through the Event Sub Group, and other day to day contacts between the authorities, LOCOG and the Academy. LOCOG is now stepping up their involvement in the area with Rob Andrews, the sailing event manager taking a much higher profile and the Sail for Gold Regatta effectively being a pivotal point and the start of LOGOGs closer involvement in Weymouth and Portland over the next three years. The Borough Council was involved at meeting organised by LOCOG/ISAF during sail for Gold week, with all team coaches to make contact and emphasise positive welcome within the Borough etc.
