Answer Hello Ben… Glad you came to AllExperts for an answer to your question. The existence of black holes has been confirmed, even though we can’t directly observe the black hole itself. The immense gravity of a black hole attracts material like interstellar dust and gases from the region surrounding it and accelerates it up to near light speed which causes the material to generate xrays. Additionally this radiation is often observed close to some visible star that kind of wobbles as it moves through space. This wobbling motion can only happen if there’s some strong gravitational source nearby causing it, like a black hole. So, when we see a relatively concentrated area of xrays and a ‘wobbling’ star we can safely assume there’s a black hole nearby. Worm holes are nothing more than theoretical objects.
