Is there such thing as an NHS registered hypnotherapist?

No, for the reason that there is no official register. There is an ‘NHS directory of alternative practitioners’ but this is not the same thing. Probably the closest thing to an ‘official’ register is the CNHC (which is the Department of Health recognised register) and promotes voluntary self regulation among members. I myself have undergone the CNHC voluntary self-regulation process.
