Is there such thing as a mini potbelly pig that stays small?
There have been claims of “micro-mini” potbellied pigs or “tea cup pigs” that stay piglet-sized, but as far as I know it’s a scam. What you may end up with is a tiny piglet (who doesn’t stay tiny) or a pig that had its growth stunted through poor breeding or malnourishment. Keep in mind that potbellied pigs are miniature when compared to a 600 lb livestock pig. Some potbellies stay around 60-80 lbs, but most are around 100-150 lbs. If someone claims to have a super small pig (or even a relatively small pig), I would expect to see the paperwork and the parents before purchase. I know that a lot of people are interested in pet pigs that stay extremely small, but other factors like health and temperment are more important than whether the pig will fit into your hand or not.
