Is there still Communism (Communist) in Germany?
There certainly are communists left in Germany. I live near Frankfurt and the communist party has been active here since the Russian Revolution. The head of the CP in our little town lives right across the street from a friend of mine. Nobody takes them seriously except themselves, and their numbers are few, but they like to demonstrate against capitialism from time to time.. There are hardly any communists left in the former East Germany, due to the fact that the east Germans lived under communism for so many years and they don’t want anything to do with it again. It was disasterous for them. When the wall came down we drove over there and noticed two things immediately: First, it was obvious that nothing had been done for the infrastructure for decades. My wife, who is from the west, said that it looked like the west looked just prior to WWII. The second thing that we saw was the look of utter dejection and hopelessness on the part of the people.
