Is there something wrong with the brakes on my 2006 Dodge Stratus?
Hi The problem is that you are used to driving stick. When driving a manual vehicle you can come to a stop a lot quicker by gearing down. With automatic it takes a lot more brake to stop your car.My suggestion is go out and go for a drive. When coming to your first stop.Do it as you normally would. Now the next light or stop sign start to slow down another 20-25 feet sooner. You should feel significantly less vibrating.I had the exact problem when I went from my Prelude to a Neon.I’ve just gotten used to slowing down sooner and my brakes don’t shudder, squeak or anything.
