Yes, in fact this is one of the core tenets of the tradition. It is believed that true and final initiation can only be gained “between worlds” also known as “in the astral realms” or in dreams (lucid). The techniques of moving into these realms of consciousness are also taught, to aid individuals in the tradition to acquire this initiation.
