Is There Safe Self-Harm?
There is a search on among many adults and teens on the internet for safe self harm, these people are looking for a way to hurt themselves without doing a deep physical damage. The most common form of self- harm is the cutting of the skin. It is mainly something that affects girls but the numbers are growing among boys and adults. Abusers will usually use a blade and cut their arms are legs. The act is very secretive with the cutter not revealing to anyone else but maybe close friends what they are doing. Some see this act as a harmless release. The cause of cutting usually boils down to some form of pain or emotional stress that must be released. The cutter may feel they have no other outlet so they hurt themselves. Some cutters feel nothing is wrong with this but they still hide the act. There is another problem that many cutters do not realize; they are causing deep psychological pain and damage to themselves.
