As far as domestic dogs looking at us humans as part of their pack… I cannot find any controlled studies of this, at all. I’m sure they’re out there – I *hope* they’re out there seeing as so many choose to state often ‘dogs are pack animals.’ But if you look at the definition of what pack means; a “pack” is simply defined as an extended family unit. So, yes, us humans *can* be looked at as part of the pack. I tend to believe this based on my own experience with our own wolves AND dogs.
