There is no rent control in Redondo Beach, with proper advance written notice, your landlord may raise your rent any amount, just as long as you do not have a lease that states otherwise and providing he or she is not discriminating or retaliating against you. Also, be advised that in California, if the landlord plans to raise the rent by 10 percent or more in any twelve-month period, the landlord must give you an extra thirty days advance written notice.
