Is there reimbursement for(red and yellow alerts?

0

Alerts may be billable if they result in actions that are: 1) Medically necessary 2) Prompt a clinician to review and document an interrogation and print a report [technical component], and 3) Completed with physician interpretation and signature [professional component]. Use codes 93741 or 93743 if the alert makes it medically necessary for a physician to perform a complete electronic analysis as described by either of these codes. A physician should not bill for an alert unless they are the primary follower of the patient’s device. Consult with your local payer for guidance.
