Is There Really Any Anomaly with e-book Numbers on Amazon Kindle Store?

0

I’ve recently found differences in e-book numbers that amazon shows on its kindle store. Amazon usually updates that number daily, and you can sort those books by different criterion like ‘bestsellers’, ‘price: hugh to low’ or ‘price: low to high’ etc. This number is useful to get an idea how much books are being added daily or weekly. The difference is see might be trivial; but it’s worthy to know why there exists such difference, or am I doing something wrong the way I sort the books? Let me detail how I got it. When I go to kindle store and click ‘all kindle books‘ you’ll see 313,867 as of July 3, 2009. Alternatively, you can go here find total kindle store results 319,922, the break-down of this number in books, blogs, magazines & Journals, and newspapers on the left column (see the left picture here).
