Is there really a way to detect botters?
Poker rooms nowadays use a new technology called ” DLL injection” to detect poker bots. What that means, is that they introduce a llh.dll into the software that you download from their site. This way, the poker client will track any programs that the user is running, and will quickly identify poker-bots. Some players argue that this is a blatant violation of their privacy, I personally think it’s justified, and I suppose all other serious and fair poker players feel the same way. After all I’m not running anything confidential when playing poker, and at least I know that the players I go up against are fair as well. Botting is theft. Simple as that. The invasion of my privacy is annoying, but being stolen from, just drives me nuts.
