Is there really a need for a mentoring program in Marin, Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties?
Yes. There is often a misconception that families in the North Bay are wealthy and have few problems. Unfortunately, there are thousands of families in desperate situations that need assistance in all three counties we serve. Over the last several years, child abuse reports, youth unemployment, birth to teens, the number of children living in poverty, and preventable teen deaths have all increased. This is evidence that mentoring services are needed more than ever in our communities.
