they are extremely different, if you want to substitute you can sift: 3/4 cup all purpose flour + 2 tablespoons cornstarch = 1 cup cake flour each cup of homemade cake flour weights 106 gr. whereas 1 cup of commercially bought cake flour is 124 gr if you want to buy cake flour you can find it in your supermarket in the baking aisle next to all the flours, one brand i recommend is “swansdown” but if you cant find it just use all purpose plus cornstarch happy baking!!!!!
