Is there reading and writing in the Integrated Mathematics Program?
The national SCANS (Secretary s Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills) Report identified communication as one of the important skills employers desire in their workers. In IMP students are given daily opportunities to communicate the mathematics they are learning, both orally and in writing. As they explain their thinking to others, they develop a deeper understanding of mathematics concepts.
