Is there Post 16 route funding available?
Funding is available to support the training costs of an apprentice. However this is determined by age and level of apprenticeship. • For those aged between 16-18 (day before their 19th birthday) funding is guaranteed if the individual meets the required criteria. • For those aged between 19-24 (day before their 25th birthday) funding is generally available if the individual meets the required criteria. Some employer contribution may be requested by the training provider. • For those aged 25+ there is limited funding available. Some employer contribution may be requested by the training provider. Please be aware that it is not a requirement of the apprenticeship programme to be funded by the SFA or other public funding.
