Is there parking available at the Francis Marion Hotel and throughout Charleston?
a. At the Francis Marion Hotel: Parking is available at the City Garage next door. Hotel guests may pay $12 a day for self-parking or $17 a day for valet parking; both come with unlimited “in-and-out” privileges. Please note that as the garage is a city garage, only cash is accepted. Daily charges must be paid upon exiting the garage. b. Remote: Parking is available at city garages at 37 John St., and 81 St. Phillips St. As both are city-run parking garages, they are also $12/day. c. Driving to dinner, tours or sightseeing: Parking in the historic area is very limited, particularly in the evening. Garages and lots are indicated on the map in your registration packet and there are limited on-street parking meters. Additionally, many restaurants offer valet parking. We highly recommend allowing time for traffic and parking if you have a reservation at a restaurant.
